Overview

  • The aim of the game is to make words, across and down, in a 4 by 4 grid.
  • You play in the left hand grid and your computer opponent, Lex the Lexicologist, plays in the right hand grid.
  • Letters appear one at a time in the box at the bottom of the game, beside the "Next" button.
  • Click in any vacant cell of the left hand grid to place the letter there. Try out different positions.
  • Press the Next button to lock in the current letter and get a new letter.
  • Mostly you score 3 points for a four-letter word and 1 point for a three-letter word, but you score double for an Australian word.
  • When the grid is filled up, the game is over.
  • When a game is finished, press the Next button to clear the grids and start a new game.
